Summary:  A brief warm-up is underway for our region, as tomorrow’s high will likely overshoot 70 degrees.  It’s not going to last, however, as after a round of storms tomorrow evening we will return to the mid 50s for Sunday. 

Tonight:  Partly cloudy with lows in the mid 40s and winds out of the southeast at 10 to 15 MPH. 

Saturday:  Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and possibly thunderstorms in the late afternoon.  Highs will be in the low 70s with winds out of the southeast at 15 to 25, with gusts up to 35 possible.

Saturday night:  Cloudy with showers and thunderstorms likely.  Lows will be in the upper 40s with winds out of the south at 10 to 20, gusting up to 30 at times.

Sunday:  Partly sunny during the day and mostly clear overnight.  Highs will be in the mid 50s with lows in the upper 30s.

Your long-term forecast:  Monday through Wednesday are expected to be fairly relaxed as an area of high pressure over our region will act to keep the weather calm.  Highs for the period will range from the mid 50s to the low 60s, with lows in the upper 30s to the upper 40s.

Summary:  Some light drizzle and scattered showers will be possible for the remainder of today, but tomorrow will improve substantially with sunny skies and warmer temperatures. 

Tonight:  Showers possible through the evening with lows in the mid 30s and winds out of the northwest at 10 to 15 MPH. 

Friday:  Sunny with highs in the mid 60s.  Winds will be out of the west at 5 to 10, becoming light and variable in the early afternoon.

Friday night:  Partly cloudy with lows in the upper 40s and winds out of the southeast at 5 to 10.

Summary:  The next couple of days will feel a bit dreary as cloudy skies and cold temperatures can be expected through tomorrow.

Thursday:  Showers possible with highs in the upper 40s and winds out of the west at 10 to 20.

Thursday night:  Mostly cloudy with lows in the upper 30s and winds out of the northwest at 10 to 15.

Your long-term forecast:  Saturday will start off nice and warm but showers and thunderstorms will be likely in the evening.  Showers will linger into Sunday with Monday looking to remain relatively dry.  Highs Saturday will be in the lower 70s while Sunday and Monday will be in the low to mid 50s.  Lows for the period are also expected to decrease from the upper 40s to the upper 30s.

Summary:  Scattered showers continue to make their way through northern Illinois this afternoon, but the chance for any measureable precipitation will likely end sometime in the early evening. 

Tonight:  Mostly cloudy with lows in the mid 40s and winds out of the southwest at 10 to 20 MPH. 

Wednesday:  Rain likely with highs in the lower 50s and winds out of the north at 10 to 15.

Wednesday night:  Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain.  Lows will be in the upper 30s with winds out of the northwest at 10 to 15.

Tuesday:  Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers.  Highs will be in the lower 60s with winds out of the southwest at 10 to 20.

Tuesday night:  Mostly cloudy with a slight chance for showers.  Lows will be in the lower 40s with winds out of the southwest at 10 to 15.

Summary:  Stormy weather will continue for tonight while tomorrow is expected to be rather pleasant.  This break will be short-lived, however, as the start of next week could bring additional rainfall. 

Tonight:  Showers and thunderstorms through the evening with lows in the mid 40s.  Winds will start out coming from the southeast at 10 to 15 MPH, then from the west after midnight. 

Saturday:  Partly sunny with highs in the lower 60s and winds out of the west at 10 to 20.

Saturday night:  Mostly cloudy with lows in the lower 40s.  Winds will be from the northwest at 10 to 15 becoming light and variable after midnight.

Sunday:  Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms.  Highs will be in the upper 50s and lows in the mid 40s.

Friday:  Rain likely in the morning with scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon.  Highs will be in the lower 50s with winds out of the southeast at 10 to 15.

Friday night:  Mostly cloudy with rain and thunderstorms possible.  Lows will be in the mid 40s with winds out of the southeast at 10 to 15, turning from the southwest after midnight.
