Summary:  Another hot and humid day today with the heat index already in the triple digits.  An excessive heat watch has been issued for the next few days as this trend is expected to continue through the middle of the week.

Tonight:  Partly cloudy with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms, though if storms do occur some may be severe.  Lows will be in the lower 70s with light and variable winds.

Wednesday:  Mostly sunny with hot and humid conditions.  Highs will be in the mid 90s with winds out of the southwest at 10 to 15 MPH.

Wednesday night:  Clear and muggy with lows in the mid 70s and winds out of the southwest at 10 to 15 MPH.

Your long-term forecast:  Temperatures will drop off slightly towards the end of the week, and a few possible showers and thunderstorms Friday through Sunday could also help to mitigate the heat.  Daytime highs for the period will remain fairly steady in the mid 80s, with overnight lows in the low to mid 70s.
