Summary:  Even though today marks the end of meteorological summer, we’ll have to wait just a little bit longer for fall-like weather as we can expect a return of warmer temperatures over the next few days, with triple-digit heat indices not out of the question. 

Tonight:  Mostly clear with lows in the lower 70s with fairly calm winds. 

Thursday:  Mostly sunny with highs in the mid 90s.  Winds will be light and variable in the morning, then coming from the south at 10 to 15 MPH in the afternoon.

Thursday night:  Mostly clear with lows in the mid 70s with winds out of the southwest at 10 to 15 MPH.

Your long-term forecast:  Temperatures will begin to make a stout decline by the weekend as a cold front pushes through our region Saturday bringing with it a chance for showers and thunderstorms, while Sunday and Monday will remain dry, though notably cooler.  Daytime highs for the period will be decreasing from the low 80s to the upper 60s, with overnight lows in the lower 60s to lower 50s.

Summary: Some showers and thunderstorms may be possible tonight as a line of storms currently in Iowa could make its way to our region by this evening, with a few lingering showers possible in the morning. 

Tonight:  Cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms.  Lows will be in the lower 60s with light and variable winds. 

Wednesday:  Partly sunny with a slight chance of showers in the morning.  Highs will be in the mid 80s with winds out of the south at 5 to 10 MPH.

Wednesday night:  Mostly clear with lows in the upper 60s and fairly calm winds.

Your long-term forecast:  The end of the week will be a time for transformations as a notable cold front will bring a chance of showers and thunderstorms Friday and Saturday, with Sunday remaining dry but substantially cooler.  Highs for the period will be decreasing from the lower 90s to the lower 70s, with lows also decreasing from the low 70s to the mid 50s.

Tonight:  Mostly clear with lows in the upper 50s and fairly calm winds. 

Tuesday:  Partly cloudy with highs around 80.  Winds will be out of the south at 5 to 10 MPH, becoming light and variable in the late afternoon.

Tuesday night:  Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms.  Lows will be in the lower 60s with light and variable winds.

Saturday night:  Clear with lows in the lower 60s and winds out of the north at 10 to 15 MPH.

Sunday:  Partly cloudy with daytime highs in the mid 70s and overnight lows in the lower 60s.

Summary:  We’ve got some gorgeous weather over our region currently, thanks to an area of high pressure building out to our west, which as it moves eastward will provide us with continued pleasant conditions over the next couple of days. 

Tonight:  Clear with lows in the upper 50s and fairly calm winds. 

Friday:  Sunny with highs in the lower 80s and fairly calm winds.

Friday night:  Mostly clear with lows in the mid 60s.  Winds will be light and variable in the evening, the coming from the northwest at 5 to 10 MPH after midnight.

Your long-term forecast:  Mild weather will generally continue as we enter next week, but while Sunday and Tuesday will remain dry, there will be a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms on Monday.  Highs for the period will be in the mid to upper 70s, with lows remaining fairly steady in the lower 60s.

Thursday night:   Clear with lows in the lower 60s and fairly calm winds.

Wednesday:  Partly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms.  Highs will be around 90 with humid conditions, and winds out of the west at 10 to 15 MPH.

Wednesday night:  Mostly clear with lows in the lower 60s and winds out of the northwest at 10 to 15 MPH.
