Summary:  Tonight and tomorrow will feel pretty cold, with temperatures roughly 10 degrees below the seasonal average, with Sunday being the next time we’ll likely see temperatures above freezing. 

Tonight:  Clear and cold with lows in the lower teens and winds out of the west at 5 to 10 MPH. 

Saturday:  Sunny with highs in the mid 20s and winds out of the southwest at around 10 MPH.

Saturday night:  Clear with lows in the lower 20s and winds out of the southwest at 10 to 15 MPH.

Sunday:  Clear with daytime highs in the upper 30s and overnight lows in the mid 20s.


Your long-term forecast:  Temperatures are expected to be slightly warmer than average during the first half of next week, but while Monday and Tuesday will see generally mild conditions, rain will become likely for much of northern Illinois as early as Wednesday.  Daytime highs for the period will remain fairly steady in the upper 30s, with overnight lows ranging from the upper 20s to the lower 30s.
