Summary:  Benign weather is expected to continue for northern Illinois through the next couple of days, along with temperatures that are fairly close to the seasonal averages.

Tonight:  Clear with lows around 20 and winds out of the west at 5 to 10 MPH. 

Thursday:  Sunny with highs in the upper 30s and winds out of the southwest at 10 to 15 MPH.

Thursday night:  Partly cloudy with lows in the upper 20s and winds out of the southwest at 5 to 10 MPH.


Your long-term forecast:  High pressure setting up over the great lakes region during the weekend will make for some calm yet cool weather Saturday and Sunday, while Monday will be a little warmer with a chance of some light snow Monday night.  Daytime highs for the period will generally be increasing from the low 20s to the low 30s, with overnight lows also increasing from the low teens to the mid 20s.
