Summary: After a slight chance of a few storms this afternoon, northern Illinois is expected to remain dry for the next few days, along with temperatures slightly below the seasonal average.

Tonight: Partly cloudy in the evening becoming clear overnight. Lows will be in the upper 50s with winds out of the northwest at 5 to 10 MPH.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny with highs in the mid 70s and winds out of the northwest at 10 to 15 MPH.  

Tuesday night: Clear with lows in the lower 50s. Winds will gradually be shifting from the northwest to the northeast at 5 to 10 MPH.


Your long-term forecast: The weather towards the end of the week will remain fairly uneventful, with warm and dry conditions expected for Thursday through Saturday. Daytime highs for the period will generally be increasing from the upper 70s to the upper 80s, with overnight lows in the low to mid 60s.
