Summary: Temperatures will continue to rise over the next couple of days, with much of northern Illinois roughly 10 degrees above average, as dry conditions are expected to persist into the weekend.

Tonight: Mostly clear with lows of around 60 and winds out of the south at 5 to 10 MPH.

Friday: Mostly sunny with highs in the lower 90s and winds out of the south at 5 to 10 MPH.  

Friday night: Partly cloudy with lows in the upper 60s and winds out of the south to southeast at 5 to 10 MPH.

Your long-term forecast: There will be a couple opportunities for some rain early next week, with a chance of showers and thunderstorms on Sunday and a slight chance again on Monday, while Tuesday will likely remain dry. Daytime highs for the period will be in the mid to upper 80s, with overnight lows in the upper 60s to the low 70s.
