Summary: Dry conditions are expected to persist across northern Illinois for at least the next few days, along with temperatures that will be just slightly above the seasonal average.

Tonight: Mostly clear with lows in the mid 60s and winds out of the east at 5 to 10 MPH.

Thursday: Mostly sunny with highs in the low 90s and winds out of the east at 5 to 15 MPH.  

Thursday night: Partly cloudy with lows in the mid 60s. Winds will be out of the east at 5 to 10 MPH in the evening, becoming light and variable after midnight.


Your long-term forecast: A few opportunities exist for some much needed rainfall beginning by the weekend, as there will be a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms Saturday through Monday. Daytime highs for the period will be in the upper 80s to the low 90s, with overnight lows in the upper 60s to the low 70s.
