Summary: Scattered showers will continue to move across northern Illinois through this evening with a few thunderstorms possible later on tonight. However, the rain will likely end by the morning leaving tomorrow cooler and somewhat breezy.

Tonight: Cloudy with showers likely and a good chance of thunderstorms. Lows will be around 60 with winds out of the north at 10 to 15 MPH.

Friday: Cloudy in the morning becoming partly cloudy by the afternoon. Highs will be in the low 70s with winds out of the north at 10 to 20 MPH, gusting up to 35 at times.  

Friday night: Mostly clear with lows in the mid 50s and winds out of the northwest at 5 to 15 MPH.


Your long-term forecast: Some additional wet weather may be possible early next week as there will be a chance of showers and thunderstorms from Sunday night into Monday, however Monday night into Tuesday will likely remain dry. Daytime highs for the period will generally be increasing from the upper 70s to the upper 80s, with overnight lows in the low to mid 60s.
