Summary: A few additional showers and thunderstorms will be possible this afternoon, but are expected to leave Northern Illinois in the evening, with the rest of the weekend remaining calm and cool.

Tonight: Cloudy with a good chance of showers in the evening, becoming partly cloudy after midnight. Lows will be in the mid 50s with winds out of the northwest at 10 to 15 MPH.

Saturday: Sunny with highs in the low 70s and winds out of the northwest at 10 to 15 MPH.  

Saturday night: Clear with lows in the lower 50s and winds out of the southwest at 5 to 10 MPH in the evening, shifting to be from the northwest at 10 to 15 MPH overnight.  

Sunday: Clear with daytime highs in the lower 70s and overnight lows in the lower 50s.


Your long-term forecast: An area of high pressure will remain over the Great Lakes region early next week, which will result in fairly uneventful weather Monday through Wednesday. Daytime highs for the period will be in the upper 70s to the low 80s, with overnight lows in the upper 50s to the low 60s.
