Summary: A few showers will be possible tonight along with breezy conditions which will persist through at least the evening, but conditions will calm back down by tomorrow as slightly cooler than average temperatures continue for the next couple of days.

Tonight: Partly cloudy with a chance of showers. Lows will be in the upper 40s with winds out of southwest at 10 to 20 MPH, with gusts of up to 30 at times in the evening, then shifting to come from the northwest at 5 to 10 MPH in the predawn hours.

Thursday: Partly cloudy with highs of around 70 and winds out of the west at 5 to 15 MPH.  

Thursday night: Partly cloudy with lows in the upper 40s. Winds will be light and variable in the evening, then coming from the south at 5 to 10 MPH overnight.

Your long-term forecast: A cold front will be sweeping through northern Illinois over the weekend, which will result in a slight punch of cold air along with a chance of showers on Saturday, however Sunday and Monday are expected to remain dry. Daytime highs will be generally increasing from the upper 50s to the low 70s, with overnight lows also increasing from the low 40s to the low 50s.

Summary: Colder than average temperatures will persist for the next couple of days, with another minor cold front passing through late tomorrow night, which mayresult in a few light showers.

Tonight: Mostly clear with lows in the upper 30s and light and variable winds.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny becoming partly cloudy late in the day. Highs will be in the lower 70s with winds out of the south at 15 to 25 MPH, gusting up to 35 at times.  

Wednesday night: Partly cloudy with a slight chance of showers in the evening. Lows will be in the lower 50s with winds out of the southwest at 10 to 20 MPH, gusting up to 30 in the evening, then shifting to come from the west to northwest at 5 to 10 MPH after midnight.

Tuesday: Partly cloudy with a slight chance of some light showers. Highs will be in the low 60s with winds out of the northwest at 10 to 20 MPH, with gusts up to 30 in the late morning and early afternoon.  

Tuesday night: Mostly clear and cool with lows in the upper 30s and winds out of the northwest at 5 to 10 MPH, becoming light and variable after midnight.
