Summary: A moderate cold front will be progressing through northern Illinois overnight tonight, bringing with it a few showers along with a notably cooler day tomorrow.

Tonight: Cloudy with showers likely in the evening, becoming partly cloudy overnight. Lows will be in the mid 30s with winds out of the west at 10 to 15 MPH.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny and breezy with highs in the low 50s. Winds will be out of the west at 10 to 20 MPH, with gusts up to 30 possible in the afternoon.  

Wednesday night: Mostly clear with lows in the mid 30s and winds out of the southwest at 5 to 15 MPH.


Your long-term forecast: A potent low-pressure system will be moving across the Great Lakes region over the weekend, resulting in a good chance of showers with even a few thunderstorms possible Friday night through Saturday, and only a slight chance of showers for Sunday. Daytime highs for the period will be ranging fromthe upper 50s to the upper 60s, with overnight lows in the mid 40s to the mid 50s.
